JavaFX makes it simple to design modern and shiny GUIs. But even though it offers a sophisticated Java API, client code can become pretty messy due to the ceremonial nature of the Java language.
Xtend is a JVM language from the Eclipse project. Xtend provides the joyful coding experience of a state-of-the-art language, yet it is built on top of Java and thus fully compatible. In this talk I will demonstrate how Xtend‘s features allow to create JavaFX applications with concise and nicely readable code.
