EclipseCon 2019: deep learning & other cool stuff

Since 2008 I missed only one EclipseCon Europe, the annual Eclipse Conference held in Ludwigsburg, Germany. This year the program committee accepted a talk from us about deep learning in general and DL4J as an Eclipse Project. Internet of Things @ Eclipse

Eclipse Foundation encourages the grow of Eclipse Working Groups, that are formed to facilitate collaboration between companies and organizations, to focus, promote and augment Eclipse technologies on a certain topic. Google joins Eclipse Foundation

It's been a long time since Google contributed to Eclipse Community with tools like Window Builder. Furthermore Eclipse is the best Android IDE thanks to ADT plugin. And Now Google is going to join the Eclipse Community formally as a Strategic Member. That might set a trend for the future of Eclipse. Read more on Mike Milinkovich blog.

Eclipse 4 – RCP Vision announces the first course in Italy

The news was already interesting enough less than a year ago, when we published the article Visual Editor or WindowBuilder Pro. Since then however many other things have happened. In short: december 15th, 2010 Google Open Sourced the source code of WindowBuilder Pro and donates it to the Eclipse Foundation (see announcement) june 1st, 2011 Visual Editor Project was archived (here the announcement and the archived project page) june 21st, 2011 Project WindowBuilder Pro enter the Indigo train, the official release of Eclipse 3.7 (code name Indigo). Open Source for the Automotive Software development

Ottawa, Canada - July 20, 2011 The Eclipse Foundation is pleased to announce the creation of a new open source initiative to define and implement a standard platform for the software development tools used in the automotive industry.
